Mumbai Hospitals Directed to Display Info on Reserved Beds and Health Schemes

Union Minister of State Prataprao Jadhav directed hospitals in Mumbai to prominently display information about beds reserved for economically weaker sections and central government health schemes during a review meeting at a Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) hospital on August 13.

Jadhav, who holds independent charge of the Ayush Ministry and serves as the Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, stated that patients visiting BMC hospitals must be able to easily access details regarding health schemes run by the central government.

During the review meeting on public health schemes, the Union Minister also directed the BMC to allocate space for Jan Aushadhi centres at major municipal hospitals across the city.
