Mumbai Police Announce Traffic Curbs in Ghatkopar, Kurla and Vikhroli for Eid-e-Milad

The Mumbai Traffic Police have announced traffic restrictions and route diversions across parts of Ghatkopar, Kurla, and Vikhroli in preparation for the Eid-e-Milad procession scheduled for August 26, 2026.

According to an official traffic notification issued on Tuesday, the special traffic orders will take effect starting at 1:00 pm on August 26.

Authorities anticipate substantial participation in the event, with an estimated 20,000 to 25,000 people expected to take part in the procession across the eastern suburbs.

In addition to the pedestrian gathering, the notification stated that the procession will include approximately 100 to 125 motor lorries and trucks.

The regulatory measures and road diversions have been put in place to manage vehicular traffic and maintain smooth movement in and around Ghatkopar, Kurla, and Vikhroli while the procession takes place.
