Mumbai Police Probe Alleged Adulteration of Peas at Kandivali Poisar Market

Mumbai Police have launched an inquiry and seized food samples after a vendor was allegedly caught colouring white peas green near Poisar Market in Kandivali on Monday afternoon.

The incident took place near a public toilet situated close to Poisar Church in Kandivali. An alert citizen, identified as Aglen Raju, reportedly caught the vendor in the act and alerted authorities.

According to the complainant, the vendor was allegedly dipping white peas into a large drum containing green-coloured water. The vendor was observed mixing the batch thoroughly before removing the peas, which had turned green to resemble fresh green peas.
