Mumbai Police Rescue Two Abducted Bandra Girls From Uttarakhand, Arrest Suspect

The Mumbai Police have successfully rescued two minor girls from Uttarakhand and arrested an accused kidnapper following a coordinated multi-state tracking operation. The two young victims had been abducted from the Bandra area of Mumbai.
The rescue operation commenced after a formal kidnapping complaint was registered at the BKC Police Station. According to the police, the two girls had suddenly gone missing while they were playing in the courtyard outside their residential home in Bandra.
With no immediate leads or eyewitnesses to assist them at the start, the local police officers launched an intensive search operation. The BKC Police Station investigators utilized technical surveillance and digital tracking methods to establish a trail of the missing girls.
During the initial stages of the probe, the police team successfully traced the movement of the girls to Nalasopara. Utilizing further digital tracking and technical expertise, the officers managed to trace them further to Uttarakhand, where they were ultimately found and rescued safely.
Acting under the direct guidance of senior police officers, the rescue team successfully recovered both girls safely and arrested the unnamed accused.
The police stated that this successful operation highlights the increasing efficacy and use of technology, technical intelligence, and coordinated interstate policing in tracing abducted children and ensuring their safe recovery.
According to the police, the successful tracking of the girls across multiple states demonstrates the effectiveness of coordinated efforts and technical intelligence in solving missing and kidnapping cases.
An active investigation is currently underway to determine the exact motive behind the abduction of the two minor girls. Investigators are also working to establish the precise sequence of events that led to the girls being taken across state borders. Legal action against the arrested accused is currently in progress.
The case follows similar successful tracking operations by local police in the region. Earlier this year, the Mumbra Police traced a missing seven-year-old girl after scanning footage from 948 CCTV cameras across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The child had gone missing from Diva in Thane district and was eventually found safe in Badlapur after police reconstructed her journey through multiple railway stations using surveillance footage.
