Mumbai-Pune Expressway Toll Revenue Rises To Rs 166.6 Crore In June 2026

Toll collections on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway and the Old Mumbai-Pune Highway (NH-4) in Maharashtra rose by nearly 13 per cent year-on-year in June 2026. The growth in revenue reflects sustained traffic volume on one of the busiest highway corridors in the state.

According to the latest operational data released by the IRB Infrastructure Trust, the concessionaire reported a total toll revenue of Rs 1,666 million (Rs 166.6 crore) for the month of June 2026. This is a significant increase compared to the Rs 1,475 million (Rs 147.5 crore) collected during the corresponding month in the previous year.

The increase of Rs 191 million (Rs 19.1 crore) over the previous year's figures translates to a 12.95 per cent rise in total toll collections. The revenue growth highlights the increasing reliance on this key transport corridor.

The operations are managed by IRB MP Expressway Pvt. Ltd., which is a wholly owned subsidiary of the IRB Infrastructure Trust. The company holds the responsibility for the operation and maintenance of both the Mumbai-Pune Expressway and the Old Mumbai-Pune Highway (NH-4).

The Mumbai-Pune Expressway is widely recognized as one of the country's busiest access-controlled highways. It caters to a mix of daily commuter traffic and heavy commercial vehicles travelling between Mumbai, Pune, and southern India. Alongside the expressway, the adjoining Old Mumbai-Pune Highway also plays a crucial role in contributing to the overall toll revenue generated by the concessionaire.

This highway corridor continues to serve as a key component of Maharashtra's road infrastructure network. It links major regional transport routes and connects with other significant local projects, such as the Mumbai-Pune Missing Link.
