Mumbai University to Host Student-VC Interaction at Vidyanagari Campus

The University of Mumbai will host its ‘Student–Vice Chancellor Interaction’ programme on Friday, August 21, at the university's Vidyanagari campus in Mumbai. The session is being organised under the ‘NEP Connect’ initiative to establish direct communication between students and senior administration officials.
The interaction will take place between 2 pm and 3.30 pm at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Bhavan, also known as the New Examination Building, on the Vidyanagari campus. According to the university, the initiative seeks to promote student-centric, transparent, and accountable academic administration in line with the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Ravindra Kulkarni, Pro Vice Chancellor Principal Dr Ajay Bhamre, Registrar Dr Prasad Karande, and Director of the Board of Examinations and Evaluation Dr Pooja Raundale will attend the programme alongside other concerned university officials.
The forum provides students with an opportunity to interact directly with administrators about changes and academic opportunities under the NEP, as well as various routine academic and administrative processes. Feedback collected from participating students will be utilised by the administration to improve future decisions and student support services.
In addition to academic discussions, the university uses the interactive platform to resolve long-standing student grievances. Officials will address issues related to examination results, withheld results, revaluation requests, photocopies of answer sheets, mark sheets, eligibility certificates, and degree certificates. The university stated that several student complaints have already been settled through earlier sessions under the initiative, with authorities maintaining a focus on expediting redressal.
Students planning to attend the interaction have been instructed to carry their university identity card along with a written grievance application. The university administration added that students may also register in advance for the session by sending an email to [email protected].
