Navi Mumbai Police Arrest Six and Seize Drugs Worth Rs 1.33 Crore in Turbhe

The Navi Mumbai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell has busted an international, Thailand-linked drug trafficking racket following a raid at Hotel Monday in Turbhe on July 10, 2026. The operation resulted in the arrest of six suspected drug traffickers and the seizure of hydro ganja and cocaine valued at Rs 1.33 crore.

Acting on specific intelligence, a police team led by Senior Police Inspector Sandeep Nigade raided the hotel in Turbhe on the night of July 10, 2026. During the operation, officers recovered 648.5 grams of hydro ganja and five grams of cocaine, worth approximately Rs 70.35 lakh. Two suspects, Abdul Rauf Zareen Khan, also known as Ali, and Mitul Arun Manakure, were arrested at the scene.

Interrogations of the two arrested men led police to Ayan Rajkotwala in Mira Road, where officers seized an additional 203 grams of hydro ganja. Rajkotwala allegedly sourced the drugs from Gokh Vishwajit Chinderkar, who was subsequently detained in Chembur.

Further questioning of Chinderkar revealed an international supply chain. Police identified Vrushang Bhanushali, who is believed to be operating from Thailand, as the suspected mastermind of the syndicate. Bhanushali allegedly coordinated the supply of hydro ganja from Thailand to his Mumbai-based associates.

The associates, identified as Neeraj Shah of Ghatkopar and Suresh Bhanushali of Dombivli, allegedly handled the local distribution. Police arrested Suresh Bhanushali from a lodge in Dombivli, seizing 451.5 grams of hydro ganja. Additionally, 4.30 grams of hydro ganja was recovered from Neeraj Shah.

In total, the police seized approximately 1,300 grams of hydro ganja, five grams of cocaine, and 12 mobile phones during the crackdown. The total value of the seized property is estimated at Rs 1.33 crore. All six accused individuals have been produced before a court.

"The investigation has revealed links to an international drug supply network operating from Thailand. Efforts are underway to trace and arrest the absconding mastermind, and we expect more links in the network to emerge during the course of the investigation," said Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Prerana Katte.
