Navi Mumbai Police Inaugurate New Outposts In Yadav Nagar And Mahape

On June 27, the Navi Mumbai Police inaugurated two new state-of-the-art police outposts in Yadav Nagar and Mahape to strengthen grassroots-level policing and improve public safety in these rapidly expanding residential and industrial areas. Yadav Nagar falls under the jurisdiction of the Rabale MIDC Police Station, while the Mahape outpost is under the Turbhe MIDC Police Station.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Police Commissioner Milind Bharambe, Joint Commissioner of Police Deepak Sakore, senior police officers, police personnel, and local residents. The outposts were established following long-pending demands from local residents who sought an enhanced police presence in both of these growing localities.
The newly operational police outposts are expected to significantly improve police visibility, ensure quicker response times during emergencies, and provide local residents with easier access to police services. This setup will allow citizens to seek assistance for minor complaints without having to travel to the main police stations.
During the event, Police Commissioner Milind Bharambe announced plans to set up similar outposts at other strategic and sensitive locations across the city. "With Navi Mumbai expanding rapidly, it is essential to strengthen policing at the grassroots level. More police outposts will be established at other required and sensitive locations across the city to increase police presence and ensure faster assistance to citizens," Commissioner Bharambe said.
According to police officials, the Yadav Nagar and Mahape outposts were established considering the rapid growth, increasing population, and sensitive nature of both areas. Besides enabling faster police response, the new facilities are expected to strengthen patrolling and help keep a check on criminal activities.
Local residents and industrial stakeholders welcomed the initiative, stating that dedicated police outposts had been a long-standing requirement due to the expanding population and industrial activity. They expressed confidence that the increased police presence would act as a deterrent to crime and enhance the overall sense of safety among citizens.
