Navi Mumbai to Host Human Chain on Palm Beach Road for Vande Mataram's 150th Year

The Vande Mataram Pratishthan will organize a human chain and collective rendition of the national song on Palm Beach Road in Navi Mumbai on August 15, 2026. The Independence Day event will run from 10:00 am to 11:30 am to commemorate 150 years of Vande Mataram.

Organizers have invited members of the public to join hands along the Palm Beach Road stretch and participate in the mass chanting and singing. The event carries the central theme “One Nation, One Voice — Vande Mataram” and is designed as a symbol of national unity, social harmony, and world peace.

According to the organizers, Vande Mataram played a crucial role during India's freedom struggle by inspiring courage, unity, sacrifice, and patriotism among people resisting British rule. The group stated that the 150th anniversary serves as an occasion to invoke that national spirit once again through a joint public gathering.
