NCP Finalises Grassroots Strategy for 22 Maharashtra Zilla Parishad Elections

The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) core committee, under the leadership of party National President and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar, met in Mumbai on Monday, August 31, to finalise a comprehensive grassroots strategy ahead of upcoming local and general elections.

The core committee meeting laid out an organisational roadmap aimed at strengthening the party's presence across the state. The primary focus of the discussion was preparing the party machinery for the forthcoming elections to 22 Zilla Parishads across Maharashtra.

According to party plans discussed at the meeting, the roadmap focuses on mobilising cadres directly at the booth level. The leadership sought to put in place structured ground-level preparations to connect with voters and activate party workers in rural and district segments.

In addition to the immediate focus on the 22 Zilla Parishad polls, the core committee also aligned its organisational blueprint with long-term electoral goals. The high-decibel roadmap is structured to build momentum leading into the 2029 Lok Sabha elections as well as the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly polls scheduled for that cycle.

The meeting brought together key party leadership to assess organizational preparedness and ensure that booth-level networks are fully activated across all targeted districts in the state.
