NCP to Hold Statewide Conclave in Nashik on September 27, Announces Sunil Tatkare
MUMBAI — The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) will organise a one-day statewide conclave in Nashik on September 27, 2026, party State President and MP Sunil Tatkare announced on Monday.
Tatkare made the announcement while addressing the media following a Core Committee meeting held at the Devgiri bungalow in Mumbai. The meeting was conducted in the presence of NCP National President and Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar.
According to Tatkare, between 700 and 750 senior leaders, invited party workers, and office-bearers will take part in the upcoming conclave. All district presidents alongside key leaders from metropolitan regions across Maharashtra will also receive invitations to attend the gathering.
Ahead of local body polls, senior party leader and MLA Dilip Walse Patil has been appointed as the chief coordinator for the upcoming Zilla Parishad elections. Walse Patil has been tasked with overseeing and coordinating the party's electoral preparations across 22 districts where elections are scheduled to take place.
Tatkare noted that Walse Patil has been instructed to conduct tours, lead delegations of party colleagues, and formulate a targeted roadmap to strengthen the organisation within a defined timeframe.
In addition to poll preparations, the party assigned responsibilities regarding BLO and SIR operations. Senior leader and former minister Nawab Malik has been appointed as the chief coordinator for these tasks, with Anil Bhaidas Patil serving as co-coordinator. Information concerning BLO and SIR will be gathered systematically, followed by a review meeting next week to monitor implementation and resolve any identified shortcomings.
Tatkare added that the agenda and points of discussion for the Nashik conclave will be finalised shortly, with an emphasis on outreach to young voters.
He stated that the party leadership is sitting together to structure the comprehensive agenda, which will actively incorporate the ideology and vision of the late Ajitdada to engage youth across Maharashtra.
