NCP to Organize Statewide Janseva Saptah in Maharashtra From July 22 to 26

The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) will organize a week-long statewide campaign called 'Janseva Saptah' (Public Service Week) from July 22 to 26 across Maharashtra. Announcing the initiative in Mumbai, NCP State president and MP Sunil Tatkare stated that the program is designed to mark the birth anniversary of late Ajitdada Pawar.

The initiative will feature public welfare, environmental, health, agricultural, and youth-centric programs across villages, talukas, districts, schools, and colleges in the state. Tatkare highlighted that the week-long event reflects late Ajitdada Pawar's vision of public welfare and commitment to various social sectors.

As part of the environmental initiatives, the party will run a statewide tree plantation campaign under the theme 'Harit Maharashtra'. Additionally, veteran actor Sayaji Shinde, through the Sahyadri Devarai Foundation, will lead the 'Devgiri to Devarai' afforestation initiative. Every current and former member of the Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, Legislative Assembly, and Legislative Council has been requested to establish one such project in their constituency.

Health programs during the week will include statewide blood donation camps and free medical check-up camps in rural and urban areas. These camps will offer screenings for diabetes, blood pressure, eye health, and various cancers, alongside osteoporosis detection for women and senior citizens.

The party also plans to conduct public cleanliness drives at forts, memorials, public spaces, and state transport bus stations. A special service initiative for Warkaris during the Ashadhi Wari pilgrimage will also be organized. For women's empowerment, state-level conventions, skill development programs, and the presentation of the Ajitdada Women's Empowerment Award are scheduled.

Agricultural workshops focusing on modern technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) in farming, will be held, and progressive farmers will receive the Ajitdada Agriculture Award. Youth leadership camps are slated to take place in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, and Nashik to train young party workers.

Guardian ministers and contact ministers have been assigned the responsibility of implementing the Janseva Saptah, coordinating with district and city unit chiefs to execute the programs.
