Night Train Block Scheduled Between Bhayandar and Borivali This Weekend

The Western Railway announced on Friday that a five-hour night jumbo maintenance block will be carried out on the Up and Down fast lines between Bhayandar and Borivali stations, starting on the night of Saturday, June 27. The essential maintenance work is scheduled to begin at 11:30 PM on Saturday and will conclude at 4:30 AM on Sunday, June 28. This temporary suspension of fast line services will allow railway teams to carry out necessary upkeep on the tracks.
According to an official press release issued by Western Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Vineet Abhishek, the maintenance operations will result in the cancellation of some Up and Down suburban services. Commuters who rely on late-night and early-morning local trains along this busy suburban section of the Western Railway will need to adjust their travel plans due to these scheduled cancellations of train services.
However, the railway administration has provided major relief for daytime weekend commuters. The Western Railway confirmed that there will be no daytime maintenance block undertaken on its suburban section on Sunday. This ensures that daytime train services will operate normally, allowing passengers to travel without the typical weekend daytime service disruptions that often occur during daytime engineering works.
The upcoming night jumbo block is specifically aimed at carrying out necessary maintenance work on the suburban railway infrastructure. The work will be strictly confined to the Up and Down fast lines on the suburban corridor stretching between Bhayandar and Borivali stations.
With the maintenance work scheduled to be wrapped up by 4:30 AM on Sunday, regular train services are expected to run smoothly throughout the day. The Western Railway has urged passengers to take note of the night cancellations to avoid any inconvenience during their weekend travel on Saturday night and Sunday morning. The authorities have advised commuters to plan their journeys accordingly.
