Nitesh Rane Criticises Rahul Gandhi Over Chhatron Ki Goonj Initiative

Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane launched a sharp attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in Mumbai on Wednesday over his 'Chhatron Ki Goonj' programme, alleging that the initiative does not represent the concerns of students.
Speaking to news agency IANS, Rane alleged that Gandhi's outreach initiative was not a voice for students but rather a 'Goonj of Sharia'. The minister accused the Congress leader of promoting ideas aimed at bringing Sharia to India.
During his remarks, Rane levelled a series of allegations against Gandhi, his political opponents, and several individuals associated with recent political and student movements.
Rane also directed criticism at the Shiv Sena (UBT), led by former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, drawing a contrast between the current party and the Shiv Sena founded by Bal Thackeray.
The Congress party had not immediately issued a response to Rane's remarks.
