Otters Club in Bandra Disputes FDA Finding Over Suspended Food Licence

Otters Club in Bandra West has disputed findings by the Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration that it used prohibited analogue paneer, maintaining that the product procured from Punjab Sind Dairy was certified by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India.
The high-profile Bandra social club, frequented by Bollywood actors, had its food licence suspended after an official FDA inspection of the premises.
During the inspection, food safety authorities discovered a product labelled "Regular Paneer" supplied by Punjab Sind Dairy. The regulator identified the product as analogue paneer or proprietary food.
In addition to the paneer findings, the FDA flagged several hygiene and food-safety lapses at the club during the review.
Otters Club has contested the regulator's stance on the seized item, maintaining that the product it sourced from Punjab Sind Dairy was FSSAI-certified.
