More than 10,000 women from across the Mahad-Mangaon-Poladpur Assembly constituency gathered at Shivneri, the residence of Maharashtra Cabinet Minister and Raigad district guardian minister Bharat Sheth Gogawale, at Dhalakathi in Mahad on Sunday to participate in an annual Raksha Bandhan celebration.

A large number of attendees began arriving at the Shivneri residence from the morning hours, creating a festive atmosphere. As part of the celebration, hundreds of women tied rakhis to Minister Gogawale, marking the traditional festival of the bond between brothers and sisters.

Organisers of the event stated that the large turnout reflected the relationship Gogawale has maintained with women across the Mahad, Mangaon, and Poladpur regions over several years. They noted that the minister has consistently engaged with local residents, prioritising their concerns and extending assistance during challenging situations.

The gathering at Shivneri residence brought together thousands of residents in one venue, highlighting the minister's public outreach and direct personal connection with his constituency. Organisers added that the celebration crossed political affiliations, serving as an occasion centered on trust, affection, and community ties.
