Palghar Secures ₹5,096 Crore Investment Proposals and 95 MoUs at District Investors Summit

Palghar district has secured investment proposals worth ₹5,096.77 crore with the potential to generate approximately 7,830 jobs during the District Investors Summit 2026, held at the District Planning Committee Hall inside the Collector’s Office.
A total of 95 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed during the event, which drew more than 350 investors, entrepreneurs, industry representatives, and government officials. The summit focused on expanding the district's industrial footprint across sectors including metals, recycling, waste management, chemicals, petrochemicals, packaging, engineering, pharmaceuticals, and food processing.
Addressing the summit, Maharashtra Forest Minister and Palghar Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik said the district is emerging as an important economic centre due to expanding infrastructure and manufacturing linkages. He noted that industrial growth must translate into improved education, healthcare, and employment for local citizens while maintaining environmental sustainability.
Among the key proposals, Sky Green Recycling Industries Pvt. Ltd. (EOU) committed an investment of ₹325 crore, which is expected to create around 1,000 jobs. Aero Plast Packaging proposed ₹300 crore to generate roughly 340 jobs, while MPCL Industries Ltd. committed ₹250 crore. Additionally, Vstar Metal Industries Pvt. Ltd. proposed ₹225 crore with an estimated 350 jobs, and Gujarat Copper Alloys Ltd. signed for ₹200 crore. These five major proposals account for approximately ₹1,300 crore of the total commitment.
Naik highlighted major connectivity initiatives, including the Samruddhi Mahamarg, the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train, highway expansions, metro networks, and the Vadhvan Port project. He also outlined a proposal to develop a 1,000-acre furniture manufacturing hub in the Vadhvan region through the Forest Development Corporation of Maharashtra (FDCM), utilising teak timber sourced from Ballarshah in Vidarbha.
Palghar currently hosts 49,006 Udyam-registered MSMEs—comprising 48,926 micro, 73 small, and seven medium enterprises employing around 1.85 lakh people—alongside 297 large industries. Officials noted that the new investments would provide supply chain and vendor opportunities for local units.
The summit also featured sessions on single-window regulatory clearances via MAITRI, industrial safety, banking credit, and the Maharashtra Export Policy 2023. Attendees included Palghar Collector Dr. Indu Rani Jakhar, Zilla Parishad CEO Manoj Ranade, Deputy Conservator of Forests Niranjan Diwakar, and Konkan Region Joint Commissioner of Industries Sandeep Patil.
