Panvel Civic Body Opens Bus Stand Toilet After Nearly Two Months

Panvel Municipal Corporation officials together with local corporators officially opened a newly installed public toilet at the Panvel bus stand on Monday, resolving a civic delay that had left the facility locked for nearly two months after its installation.
The opening of the dedicated facility brings major relief to daily commuters as well as Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport (NMMT) personnel. Staff members working at the bus stand had been forced to rely on alternative facilities while awaiting the opening of the dedicated structure.
Panvel civic body Chief Mangesh Chitale confirmed on Monday that the toilet facility had finally been opened for public use. The newly installed facility had remained locked despite earlier assurances from the civic administration.
The action by municipal authorities follows initial coverage of the issue published on June 27, along with subsequent follow-ups when the facility remained closed. With municipal officials and corporators now having unlocked the doors, the facility is fully operational for commuters and transport staff at the Panvel bus stand.
