Peacock Rescued Near Gorai Vipassana Pagoda Released Into Wild

A peacock rescued from the Vipassana Pagoda area in Uttan, Gorai, Borivali, was released back into the wild on Sunday after undergoing a medical examination and being declared fit for release.
The bird was rescued on Saturday, August 8, following an intervention assisted by Forest Department officials and members of the non-governmental organization SARRP India.
The rescue and release operations were conducted with the assistance of the NGO team led by Santosh Shinde, working alongside forest officials.
Following its rescue on Saturday, the peacock underwent a health evaluation. After a medical examination confirmed that the bird was fit, officials and NGO personnel facilitated its return to its natural habitat on Sunday.
