Plot Details Revealed for David Dhawan Film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai

MUMBAI — Official plot details and promotional information have been released for the upcoming Bollywood film 'Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai' ahead of its scheduled release in 2026. The film, directed by David Dhawan, features a starring cast of Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde.

The story revolves around Jaswinder, widely known as Jass (played by Varun Dhawan), who works as a wedding photographer. Jass falls in love with a woman named Bani (played by Mrunal Thakur) while photographing her sister's wedding. Bani is charmed by him, leading to their marriage.

The couple's relationship deteriorates five years later when Bani demands a divorce. The conflict arises because Jass wants to start a family and have a child, whereas Bani is strongly against the idea. During the legal proceedings, a judge, played by Ali Asgar, decides to annul the marriage after a six-month period, holding out hope that the couple will eventually reconcile.

However, Bani remains steadfast in her decision to separate. Heartbroken by the turn of events, Jass decides to relocate to London. While living abroad, he meets Preet (played by Pooja Hegde) and the two begin dating.

The situation complicates when Bani suddenly arrives at Jass's home in London and announces that she is pregnant with his child. On that very same day, Preet also reveals to Jass that she is expecting a child, leaving Jass to navigate the complications of having two pregnant partners.

As part of the promotional buildup for the 2026 film, a total of 63 photos and eight videos have been prepared. Among the promotional materials is a featured song titled "Chunnari Chunnari – Let’s Go," which features Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde.
