Police intervene after man holds onto woman's feet at Borivali Railway Station

Police personnel recently intervened at Borivali Railway Station in Mumbai after a young man lay flat on a platform floor and tightly held onto a woman's feet as she attempted to walk away. The incident, which was captured on camera and widely shared, drew a crowd of onlookers at the busy station before railway police stepped in to manage the situation.
The unidentified young man, dressed in a light blue shirt and black trousers, was filmed lying on the platform while gripping the leg of an unidentified young woman. The woman, who was wearing a green-and-white patterned outfit with a shawl covering her face and carrying a backpack, repeatedly attempted to free herself from his grasp. Despite her efforts, the man refused to let go of her feet.
As the scene unfolded on the platform, several uniformed police personnel gathered around the pair. Footage of the incident shows one officer intervening to address the situation, while another officer directed a growing crowd of curious onlookers to move away from the spot. Subsequent footage showed the man seated on the platform floor while the uniformed personnel questioned him.
The video of the confrontation was shared with text overlays reading "TRUE LOVE" and "BORIVALI RAILWAY STATION," though there has been no independent confirmation that the caption accurately reflects the situation.
The incident has sparked widespread attention and debate online, accumulating over six million views on Instagram. Social media users expressed mixed reactions, with some criticizing the public disruption at a crowded transit hub. One user commented, "Pyar bahut bekar cheez hota hai" (Love is a terrible thing), while another wrote, "Aisa pyar karne wala milta kahan hai yaar" (Where do you find someone who loves like this anymore?). Another user mocked the incident, writing, "Itna ye karne ki kya jarurat hai bhai, maa baap ke pair chhulo aage badhoge" (Why go to such lengths? Touch your parents' feet instead; you'll progress in life).
At present, neither the Mumbai Police nor the railway authorities have released an official statement regarding the identities of the individuals involved or the specific circumstances that led to the confrontation.
