Police Seek Identity of Man Found Deceased in Borghat on Mumbai-Pune Highway

Khopoli police are seeking the public's assistance to identify an unknown man whose decomposed body was discovered nearly 10 days ago in the Borghat area along the old Mumbai-Pune Highway.

No relative, friend, or acquaintance has approached authorities since the body was recovered. Khopoli police attended the location, completed the required legal formalities, and circulated details regarding the man's appearance and belongings in an attempt to trace his identity, but the efforts have yielded no results so far.

According to police estimates, the deceased was between 30 and 40 years old and stood approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall. He was found wearing a bluish half-sleeved T-shirt and black track pants marked with a white Adidas symbol. Investigators noted a distinctive tattoo on the inner side of his right arm, extending from the wrist toward the elbow, featuring a heart symbol with the letter 'A' in the centre.

With statutory identification procedures completed, arrangements are being made to conduct his last rites. Nandkumar Oswal of the HELP Foundation has stepped forward to take responsibility for the funeral arrangements, ensuring the man receives a dignified farewell. Transportation has been coordinated with Swamini Ambulance, and the foundation is providing the necessary support for the final services.

Police continue to appeal to citizens for any information that could assist in establishing the deceased's identity.
