Proposal Urges CIDCO Land for Haryana Bhavan in Navi Mumbai

A proposal to establish a Haryana Bhavan in Navi Mumbai and a Maratha War Memorial in Panipat has been submitted to strengthen cultural, trade, and historical connections between Maharashtra and Haryana.

The demands were presented during an event attended by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini at the Hotel Taj in Mumbai on August 23. Haryana Industries Minister Rao Narbir Singh and hundreds of traders were also present at the gathering.

Former Navi Mumbai deputy mayor Anil Kaushik urged the Maharashtra government to allocate a plot through the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) for the construction of the Haryana Bhavan in Navi Mumbai. The proposed facility is intended to provide support and accommodation to traders and residents from Haryana travelling to Navi Mumbai and wider Maharashtra for commercial and personal engagements.

In addition to the bhavan, Kaushik proposed the creation of a Maratha War Memorial and Shaurya Sthal in Panipat. The memorial aims to honour the valour and sacrifices of Maratha soldiers who fought during the historic battles of Panipat.

Kaushik also called for an annual Panipat Festival to be organised in Panipat. He noted that these initiatives would raise awareness of the shared history between both regions while bolstering trade and cultural ties.
