Pydhonie Police Arrest Rajasthan Man, Recover ₹1.16 Crore Stolen Cash

The Pydhonie police in Mumbai have arrested a 24-year-old man from Rajasthan in connection with the alleged misappropriation of ₹1.20 crore in cash and recovered ₹1,16,50,000 from his possession.
The arrested accused has been identified as Yuvraj Singh Vasant Singh Devda, a resident of Mamavali village in the Sirohi district of Rajasthan. His brother, 30-year-old Pirsingh Vasant Singh Devda, remains wanted in connection with the case.
According to police, the incident took place on August 8, 2026, when a complainant instructed Pirsingh Devda to collect ₹1.20 crore in cash from the complainant's second office and deliver it to him. Two bags containing the cash were handed over to Pirsingh in good faith.
Instead of delivering the money, Pirsingh allegedly switched the bags, filled them with bundles of paper, and handed the fake bundles to the complainant while misappropriating the ₹1.20 crore.
Following the discovery of the fraud, a case was registered at the Pydhonie police station on August 10 under Section 316(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023.
During the investigation, police teams analysed technical evidence, reviewed CCTV footage, and followed confidential inputs. The trail led investigators to Ahmedabad and subsequently to Rajasthan.
The probe revealed that Pirsingh had allegedly conspired with his younger brother Yuvraj Singh, and the duo acted in collusion to execute the theft. A police team travelled to Mamavali village in Sirohi district and arrested Yuvraj Singh on August 14.
During interrogation, police recovered ₹1,16,50,000 of the misappropriated cash from Yuvraj Singh. The Pydhonie police are actively searching for Pirsingh Devda as further investigation into the case continues.
