Python crawling across Thane road late at night temporarily halts traffic

A python crawling across a road in Thane late at night temporarily disrupted traffic as motorists slowed down to avoid harming the large reptile. The incident occurred near a central divider on an unconfirmed road within the city.
The movement of vehicles was briefly slowed after drivers noticed the snake slithering near the middle of the road. A video of the encounter, which was recorded from inside a car, captured the python steadily making its way through the traffic lane. The footage of the incident was later shared on social media by an Instagram page named 'Thane Page'.
As the reptile moved ahead, several vehicles were seen halting or reducing their speed to prevent running over the snake. This cautious reaction from local motorists led to a temporary disruption in traffic movement along the stretch of the road as they waited for the python to pass.
There is currently no official confirmation regarding the exact location or the precise timing of the incident. Furthermore, it remains unclear whether forest department officials or local snake rescuers eventually reached the spot to safely rescue and relocate the python.
Wildlife rescuers have repeatedly urged citizens in the region to remain cautious during the monsoon season. According to rescuers, flooding and waterlogging frequently force snakes and other reptiles out of their natural shelters, causing them to emerge onto busy public roads or enter residential areas.
