Rotary District 3141 Launches Multi-Sport Impact Games India in Mumbai

Rotary Club of Mumbai SOBO, supported by Rotary Club of Bombay Airport under Rotary District 3141, has announced the launch of Impact Games India, a multi-sport platform scheduled to run across four weekends in Mumbai this October.

The tournament will span venues across the city throughout October 2026, concluding with a Grand Finale and Closing Ceremony on November 1. Organisers expect more than 5,000 participants to compete across more than 15 sports, with all participation fees channeled into charitable causes.

The featured sports include racquet disciplines such as badminton, tennis, squash, and pickleball; team events including cricket, football, and volleyball; and mind sports such as chess, bridge, and carrom. The schedule also incorporates adaptive and inclusive categories, including blind chess and disability sports.

According to organisers, 100 percent of net proceeds generated from registrations and partnerships will fund verified charitable projects focused on sports, education, health, and community welfare through the Rotary Club of Mumbai SOBO Charitable Trust.

Rajan Dua, District Governor of Rotary District 3141, stated that the initiative aims to serve as a sustainable fundraising platform to create long-term impact across local communities.

Sanket Jain, Project Director of Impact Games India and President of Rotary Club of Mumbai SOBO, noted that the initiative focuses on community well-being alongside competitive play.

The event has received recognition from Fit India, the central government's national fitness initiative. In addition to its community welfare objectives, the tournament will support the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan national campaign against substance abuse.
