Scuffle Breaks Out in Ladies' Coach of Andheri-Virar Local Train

A scuffle broke out between women passengers inside the ladies' compartment of a Mumbai local train departing from Andheri, with a video of the confrontation circulating widely on social media on Tuesday.

The incident took place at around 8:13 pm aboard an Andheri-Virar slow local train. The altercation reportedly began over a minor issue shortly after several passengers boarded the coach at Andheri railway station's Platform No. 4. While the confrontation escalated quickly, the specific cause of the dispute remains unclear.

Footage captured inside the coach and shared on social media showed multiple women engaged in a heated verbal argument. The confrontation subsequently turned physical, with passengers seen allegedly pushing and assaulting one another inside the crowded compartment.

The incident has once again highlighted passenger safety issues on the suburban rail network. As of Tuesday, neither the Government Railway Police (GRP) nor the Railway Protection Force (RPF) had issued an official statement regarding the altercation.
