SDPI Leader Saeed Ahmed Choudhary Returns to Mumbai After High Court Ends Externment

MUMBAI — Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) leader Saeed Ahmed Abdul Wahid Choudhary has returned home to Mumbai after a seven-month externment period, following a ruling by the High Court. The High Court's decision officially ended the externment, which had been imposed on the political leader due to protests.

The return of the SDPI leader marks the conclusion of a seven-month period during which Choudhary was kept away from his home. The High Court issued a ruling that allowed Choudhary to return to Mumbai, directly impacting the externment order that had been in place.

Choudhary, a leader within the Social Democratic Party of India, had faced the externment order as a consequence of protests. The legal intervention by the High Court has now resolved the situation, permitting his return to the city of Mumbai, Maharashtra.
