Shiv Sena (UBT) Questions RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Over Unity Remarks in US

The Shiv Sena (UBT) in Mumbai on Monday criticised Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat, asserting that the organisation's message of "one humanity" lacks credibility unless the principles articulated by its leadership abroad are reflected in India's domestic social and political environment.

In an editorial published in the party's mouthpiece Saamana, the Uddhav Thackeray-led party questioned remarks recently delivered by Bhagwat in New York. During his address, the RSS chief had referred to the concept of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" and stated that "if a Hindu feels that there should be no Muslims in India, then he is not a Hindu at all."

The Shiv Sena (UBT) challenged the stance, accusing Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders at the Centre and across several states of actively contributing to an environment of social and political polarisation.

The party argued that the assertions made by the RSS leadership on international platforms must match the ground realities and political atmosphere at home.
