Shiv Sena (UBT) Slams State Government Over Rise in Crimes Against Women

The Shiv Sena (UBT) has criticised the Maharashtra government over what it described as a deterioration in the state's law and order situation, specifically pointing to a reported rise in serious crimes against women and children.
In an editorial published in the party's mouthpiece Saamana, the Uddhav Thackeray-led faction stated that Maharashtra has slipped to second place nationally in crimes against women amid a lack of deterrence.
The party highlighted that Maharashtra was once considered relatively safe for women before the recent increase in offences across the state.
