Singer Alka Yagnik Diagnosed With Rare Hearing Disorder

MUMBAI — Veteran playback singer Alka Yagnik has revealed that she is suffering from a rare hearing disorder, which has kept her largely absent from the public eye for nearly two years.
The announcement came shortly after Yagnik made a rare public appearance to be honoured with the Padma Bhushan, one of India's highest civilian awards. President Droupadi Murmu presented her with the award at Rashtrapati Bhavan on June 23.
Following the ceremony, Yagnik shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, shedding light on the serious health condition that has kept her away from public life. In her social media post, the singer explained that she has remained largely absent from the spotlight for nearly two years as she continues to deal with ongoing health challenges.
