Singer Shaan and Wife Radhika Buy Bandra West Luxury Home for Rs 48 Crore
Bollywood playback singer Shantanu 'Shaan' Mukherjee and his wife Radhika Mukherjee have purchased a 6,300-square-foot luxury residence at the Palmera tower in Bandra West for Rs 48 crore. The transaction was registered on August 20, 2026.
The residence was formed by combining three separate apartments across roughly one-and-a-half floors on the 18th level of the building. The high-value transaction was brokered by Propbay India LLP.
The purchase deepens a multi-generational link to Bandra for the singer, whose late father, musician Manas Mukherjee, also lived in the suburb.
Palmera is a boutique residential project developed by Pantheion Real Estate at 8 Turner Road, near the junction of St Martin's Road in Bandra West. The tower was constructed on the redeveloped plot that formerly housed the landmark bungalow of veteran film actress Mala Sinha. The Ground + 22-storey building is designed as a low-density development featuring 32 residences, limiting occupancy to a maximum of two units per floor.
The property offers flexible open-plan bare-shell layouts, private lobbies, attached open decks, and a 3.3-metre floor-to-ceiling height. Standard single units in the tower start at 2,090 square feet of carpet area with servant quarters, while full-floor configurations span more than 4,180 square feet.
Building amenities include a rooftop infinity pool, sky deck, and entertainment bar on the 23rd level. Internal facilities feature a gymnasium, Pilates, yoga, and meditation studios, a spa with steam facilities, a salon vanity room, a meeting room, a banquet hall, a game room, an outdoor lounge, a library, a card room, a children's play area, a pet zone, EV charging stations, and valet services. Occupancy Certificate formalities for the project are underway.
The deal comes amid broader momentum in Mumbai's high-end property segment. According to the Lighthouse Luxury Quarterly Real Estate Report compiled with Zapkey, Mumbai recorded 1,499 property registrations for homes priced at Rs 5 crore and above during the first quarter of FY27, totaling Rs 14,903 crore in transaction value.
