Speeding Biker Runs Over Child in Akola District, Leaving Victim in Critical Condition
A young child was severely injured and remains in critical condition after being run over by a speeding motorcycle in Maharashtra's Akola district on Tuesday. The incident has sparked widespread public outrage and raised urgent concerns among residents regarding road safety in the region.
According to CCTV footage of the incident, the young child was playing on the road when the motorcycle rider, who was allegedly travelling at a high rate of speed, rammed directly into the youngster. The force of the sudden impact left the child severely injured and lying in a pool of blood on the street.
Immediately after the collision occurred, several local bystanders who were nearby rushed to the scene to assist the injured child. The motorcyclist involved in the accident also returned to the spot immediately to help. The rider, along with the bystanders, then rushed the child to a local hospital for emergency medical treatment.
The child was admitted directly to the intensive care unit (ICU) upon arrival at the medical facility. Hospital officials confirmed that the victim is currently undergoing treatment, and their medical condition is reported to remain critical.
