Speeding Car Hits Two 14-Year-Old Girls Near Lavel on Mumbai-Goa Highway

Two 14-year-old girls were seriously injured after a speeding car rammed into them near the Lavel petrol pump on the Mumbai-Goa Highway in Maharashtra's Ratnagiri district on Sunday, August 30.
The accident took place at around 5:10 pm when a Tata Punch car heading towards Goa lost control. After striking the two pedestrians walking along the roadside, the vehicle, bearing registration number MH 12 TY 4381, overturned on the side of the road.
The injured girls have been identified as Mansi Kesavan Sharma and Yasmin Nizam Patait, both 14-year-old residents of Lavel.
A man and a woman traveling inside the vehicle also sustained injuries in the crash. The impact caused severe damage to the car.
Nearby residents and passersby rushed to the scene immediately following the crash to assist the victims. All the injured individuals were transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
