SRPF Constable Shoots Himself Dead While on Guard Duty at Raj Bhavan in Malabar Hill

An State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) constable allegedly shot himself dead with his service rifle on Monday night while on guard duty at the Raj Bhavan premises in Malabar Hill, Mumbai. The incident, which occurred at approximately 9:10 PM, triggered panic within the high-security state governor's residence.
The deceased security personnel has been identified as Constable Kaustabh Sangle. Sangle was an amaldar attached to the SRPF Group 16, which is based in Kolhapur. He had been deployed to Mumbai for guard duty at the Raj Bhavan camp premises.
According to preliminary information from the police, Sangle allegedly used his service rifle to end his life. The constable died on the spot inside the SRPF camp premises located within the complex.
Immediately after the gunshot was heard, personnel from the local Malabar Hill police station, along with several senior police officers, rushed to the scene. Officials immediately initiated inquiries to secure the area and gather initial evidence.
The motive behind the alleged suicide has not yet been established. Police officials stated that the Malabar Hill police are actively conducting a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances and reasons that led to the constable's death.
