Supriya Sule Urges Talks as Sarathi Staff Fast for 53 Per Cent Hike

Contractual employees at the Sarathi headquarters have launched an indefinite fast over long-pending demands, prompting Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) MP Supriya Sule to urge the government to initiate dialogue.
The protesting employees have been seeking a revision in their honorarium since January 2023. The demonstration began as their financial demands remained unresolved.
According to MP Supriya Sule, a revised proposal requesting a 53 per cent increase in honorarium was officially submitted to the government on April 15, 2025. However, no decision has been taken by the authorities since the submission.
With the state yet to take a final call on the revised proposal, the contractual staff decided to intensify their agitation through an indefinite hunger strike at the headquarters.
Sule has called upon the government to intervene and hold discussions with the protesting personnel to address the pending honorarium hike and resolve the ongoing protest.
