Thane Administration Urges Families of People Stranded in Nepal Floods to Register

The Thane district administration has issued an advisory appealing to citizens and tourists from the district who are stranded due to massive floods in Nepal to immediately register their details on the state government's emergency portal.

The appeal also applies to families in Thane who have been unable to establish contact with their relatives currently in Nepal. Details are to be submitted on the Maharashtra government's Sahayata Emergency Evacuation Registration Portal to facilitate tracking and relief operations.

The initiative comes as the Maharashtra government begins collecting information about citizens and tourists from the state who may be caught in the disaster. The focus of the administrative effort is to ensure the safety of stranded individuals and provide prompt assistance.

Massive flash floods in Nepal have resulted in dozens of deaths and left nearly 500 people missing, including 105 Indian nationals. State authorities are coordinating information to locate and assist affected residents.
