Thane District Completes 100% Target in Electoral Roll Revision Drive

The Thane District Administration has achieved 100% completion of its planned targets under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) program for the electoral roll, following directives issued by the Election Commission of India.
The administrative milestone was carried out under the leadership of Collector and District Election Officer Dr. Shri Krishna Panchal alongside Deputy District Election Officer Vaishali Mane. The drive involved structured collaboration across municipal levels, electoral registration officers, booth-level teams, political party representatives, and media outlets.
According to the administration, the primary focus of the exercise is to maintain an accurate voter list. The administration stated that the main objective of the Special Intensive Revision drive is to eliminate errors in the voter list, ensure that every eligible citizen is included, and remove ineligible names.
As part of the initiative, field training was provided to all 6,894 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) across the polling parts in Thane district. The administration also completed the 100% printing of Enumeration Forms (EF) for all 7,450,515 registered voters in the district.
In the digital phase of the revision, authorities completed field verification and digitized 4,588,756 forms, achieving a 61.59% completion rate to date. Continuous monitoring by senior officials assisted in addressing and resolving field-level bottlenecks throughout the implementation process.
