Thane MACT Awards Rs 23.83 Lakh to Man Who Lost Arm in Road Accident

A Motor Accident Claims Tribunal in Kalyan, Thane district, has awarded compensation of Rs 23.83 lakh to a 45-year-old man who lost an arm in a road accident more than four years ago.

The order was passed by Tribunal Member V S Deshmukh on August 13, with a copy of the ruling made available on Sunday.

The tribunal directed that the total compensation amount of Rs 23.83 lakh be paid to the claimant, identified as Jadhav, following the truck crash that resulted in the loss of his arm.

The ruling provides financial relief to the victim years after the collision took place.
