Thane School Senior Clerk Arrested for Allegedly Taking Rs 5,000 Bribe

The Maharashtra Anti-Corruption Bureau has arrested a senior clerk from Srinagar Vidhya Mandir in Thane for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 from a retired employee.
According to officials, the clerk demanded the illicit payment in exchange for providing the retired staff member with her Income Tax-related paperwork, specifically four years of Form 16 documents.
Following the complaint regarding the demand, anti-corruption officials initiated action and caught the school clerk in the process of taking the Rs 5,000 sum.
The Anti-Corruption Bureau subsequently placed the clerk under arrest in connection with the bribery allegations.
