Thane Traffic Police Tie Rakhis and Give Free Helmets to Violators at Teen Hath Naka

Thane Traffic Police organised a unique road safety awareness initiative at the Teen Hath Naka junction on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, tying rakhis on motorists caught violating traffic regulations and distributing free helmets to two-wheeler riders.

Instead of immediately issuing fines and penalising offenders, traffic personnel stationed at the busy Thane junction stopped motorists who had broken traffic rules. The officers spoke directly to the violators and counselled them on the critical importance of following road safety norms.

During the initiative, traffic police personnel tied rakhis on the wrists of motorists found committing violations. The drive was designed to promote safety awareness rather than rely solely on immediate punishment.

In addition to counselling the motorists, police officers provided free protective headgear to several two-wheeler riders who were travelling without helmets at the junction.

The initiative at Teen Hath Naka focused on educating commuters and encouraging responsible driving habits across the city on the festive occasion.
