Three Dead, Seven Injured as Speeding Jeep Hits Tree in Nanded's Kinwat

Three people were killed and seven others sustained serious injuries after a speeding jeep crashed into a roadside tree at Totamba forest ghat in Kinwat tehsil of Nanded district, police said on Tuesday.

The accident occurred at around 6 pm on Monday while the group was returning home to neighbouring Telangana following a day trip to Maharashtra.

According to police officials, all the victims were residents of Pardi village, located in the Nirmal district of Telangana. The group had travelled across the state border into Nanded earlier in the day to visit a local waterfall and offer prayers at a temple.

The vehicle was navigating through the Totamba forest ghat section in Kinwat when the driver lost control of the speeding jeep, causing it to veer off the road and ram directly into a tree along the roadside.

Emergency responders and local police arrived at the scene following the crash. The impact left three occupants dead and seven others with severe injuries. The injured individuals were subsequently transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment.

Police have registered the incident and are carrying out further procedures regarding the road crash.
