Three injured in motorcycle crash near Coast Guard building in Navi Mumbai

On July 12, 2026, three people were injured after two motorcycles collided at the Nandgaon junction near the Coast Guard building on the Shivshambhu Naka–Palspe Road in Navi Mumbai. The victims, consisting of two women and one man, were quickly transported to a nearby hospital by traffic police and local residents using passing autorickshaws.

The incident occurred at around 11:00 AM. Beat Marshal Police Constable Amir Mulani and Police Constable Suresh Jaunjal of the Panvel City Traffic Branch were regulating traffic at the nearby Shivshambhu signal when they received information about the crash and rushed to the spot.

Upon arrival, the officers found the three injured victims lying on the road. Rather than waiting for an ambulance to arrive, the police personnel and local residents hailed two passing autorickshaws to transport the victims to Panvel Rural Hospital for immediate medical treatment.

Following the evacuation of the injured, the police officers, with the help of local citizens, cleared the accident site by moving the damaged motorcycles to the roadside to restore smooth traffic flow.

Assistant Police Inspector Bhagwat was informed of the accident, and police personnel later visited Panvel Rural Hospital to check on the victims. Medical staff reported that all three injured individuals were in stable condition and out of danger. The relatives of the victims expressed their gratitude to both the police and the local residents for their prompt assistance.

Senior Police Inspector Audumbar B. Patil commended the traffic personnel for their swift response, noting that every minute is critical in road accidents. He praised their presence of mind and commitment to public service in ensuring the injured reached the hospital without delay.
