Three Men From Mumbra Drown in Kalwa's Parsik Creek

Three residents of Thakur Pada in Mumbra drowned in Parsik Creek in the Kalwa area of Thane on Sunday afternoon after entering the water during high water levels.
The incident occurred at around 3:08 pm on August 30, 2026. According to initial reports, the three individuals had ventured into the creek for a swim.
Upon receiving alerts regarding the drowning, personnel from the local fire brigade alongside teams from the Thane Disaster Response Force (TDRF) rushed to the Kalwa site and initiated a search and rescue operation.
Rescue teams subsequently retrieved the bodies of all three individuals from the water. The bodies were handed over to the Kalwa Police.
The deceased were later transported by ambulance to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital in Kalwa for post-mortem examinations.
Authorities have identified the deceased as 42-year-old Alam Syed, 42-year-old Rizwan Syed, and 28-year-old Sahil Polandaj. All three men were residents of Thakur Pada in Mumbra.
