Three-Year-Old Rescued from 15-Foot Borewell in Parbhani's Kausadi

A three-year-old boy was successfully rescued after falling into a 15-foot-deep borewell in an agricultural field in the Kausadi village area of Parbhani district on Wednesday afternoon.
The child, identified as Adnan Sheikh Nadeem Sheikh, was playing in the field when he accidentally slipped into the open borewell. The incident triggered immediate panic among nearby residents, who rushed to the location and promptly informed local administrative and police authorities.
Following the alert, a coordinated emergency operation was launched at the site. Teams from the police department, health services, and disaster management personnel arrived in Kausadi village to carry out the extraction efforts.
Rescuers worked for nearly two hours to reach the trapped toddler. After sustained efforts, the rescue teams successfully pulled the child out of the approximately 15-foot-deep shaft at around 3:32 pm, bringing immense relief to the gathered villagers and his family.
Immediately after being extricated from the borewell, the child was placed in an ambulance and transported to the District General Hospital for medical evaluation and treatment.
Visuals showing the rescue operation and the efforts of emergency personnel were shared widely across social media platforms following the incident. The accident has also brought safety concerns regarding open and uncovered borewells to the forefront among local villagers in the area.
