Ticketless Passenger Assaults Railway Ticket Checker at Andheri Station

A railway ticket checker was allegedly pushed and assaulted by a ticketless passenger at Andheri railway station on August 18. The incident occurred when the passenger attempted to flee after being caught without a valid ticket, leaving the railway staff member with an eye injury.

The ticket checker, identified as Prakash Dubey, was on duty along the Virar-Dadar suburban route during a shift scheduled from 2 pm to 10 pm.

According to available details, Dubey intercepted the commuter travelling without a valid ticket aboard a Mumbai local train. While attempting to escape from the railway staff at Andheri station, the passenger pushed and physically assaulted Dubey, causing an injury to his eye.
