Tipeshwar Tiger Travels Over 400 km to Beed and Dharashiv Districts

A young tiger from the Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary in Yavatmal has travelled more than 400 kilometres across Maharashtra, reaching the hilly terrain of Beed district before moving into neighbouring Dharashiv district, according to officials.

The big cat was recently captured on camera traps installed in the hilly landscapes of Beed. Following its documentation there, the tiger continued its route into the adjacent Dharashiv district.

Wildlife experts have noted that the animal's extensive journey, spanning hundreds of kilometres from the Vidarbha region to the hilly areas of Marathwada, signals a healthy wildlife corridor.

Experts view the long-distance migration as a strong and positive indicator of regional biodiversity and overall ecological health across the state's forest landscapes.
