The Andheri traffic police launched an enforcement drive outside Andheri railway station on Tuesday, penalising approximately 450 autorickshaw drivers for various traffic violations. The targeted action aimed to address traffic indiscipline in the crowded precinct outside the transit hub.

The crackdown commenced in the early morning hours and continued well into the afternoon. Traffic personnel monitored autorickshaws and other vehicles operating across the station area throughout the day.

A senior traffic police official stated that around 450 autorickshaw drivers were penalised over the course of Tuesday's operation for a range of traffic offenses.

Authorities confirmed that the enforcement drive will continue throughout the week. Traffic personnel are slated to maintain a close watch on vehicles operating around Andheri railway station in the coming days.
