Truck Crash on Mumbai-Nashik Highway in Bhiwandi Leaves Driver and Motorcyclists Injured

A major road accident occurred near the Padgha Power House on the Mumbai-Nashik Highway in Bhiwandi when a speeding truck rammed into the rear of another container truck travelling ahead. The violent collision left the driver of the speeding truck trapped inside his vehicle and injured three two-wheeler riders.

The impact severely damaged the rear portion of the container truck and completely mangled the cabin of the rear truck. The driver of the speeding truck suffered serious injuries after getting trapped inside the crushed cabin. Local residents and passing motorists rushed to the scene to assist in the rescue operation, managing to pull the driver out before shifting him to a hospital in Kalyan for medical treatment.

In addition to the two heavy vehicles, the collision involved three two-wheelers travelling along the highway stretch. The riders sustained injuries, and their motorcycles suffered extensive damage in the incident.

The entire sequence of the crash was captured on a mobile phone by a passenger travelling in a nearby car, and the footage subsequently circulated on social media, showing the severe force of the impact and the resulting wreckage.

Police personnel arrived at the scene shortly after the incident to regulate traffic and oversee the clearance of damaged vehicles from the busy highway. The Padgha stretch of the Mumbai-Nashik Highway has recorded multiple accidents in the past, with commuters frequently raising safety concerns regarding speeding and reckless driving by heavy vehicle operators.
