Truck Hits Mrinal Tai Gore Flyover Wall in Oshiwara; Barrier Falls on SV Road

A truck crashed into the retaining wall of the Mrinal Tai Gore flyover extension on Friday, causing a section of the sound barrier to fall onto SV Road below near Oshiwara market.
Although the road below is usually busy, no one was present on that stretch at the time of the collapse, and no injuries were reported.
Following the accident, local residents raised safety concerns and urged authorities to enforce a lower speed limit for heavy vehicles traveling on the flyover.
Karan Jotwani, co-founder of the Lokhandwala Oshiwara Citizens Association, expressed concern regarding the condition of the flyover's surface. Noting that this was the second time such an incident occurred, Jotwani questioned whether the road surface was slippery.
Dhaval Shah, also from the association, pointed out that the flyover has multiple sharp turns. Shah stated that the road surface should be made coarse at these specific locations to improve grip.
Shah also called on authorities to establish a distinct speed limit for heavy vehicles and recommended the installation of speed detection devices and surveillance cameras along the flyover stretch.
Later in the day, following light rainfall, several motorcyclists skidded and fell near the same spot on the flyover.
